The City of Springfield announced today that Ash Street, from the east of 6th Street to the west of 10th Street, will be closed beginning Monday, November 6 for construction of an underpass. This closure will be permanent until the completion of the underpass in October of 2019.
Residents are asked to follow all detour signs for the safest ways of travel around the construction area. Drivers are reminded to slow down and use extreme caution while driving near the work zone.
